The gestures of Vannini's master goldsmiths are the meeting point between rationality and emotion, between the precious material and the desire of the wearer. Each creation comes to life by hand, in the heart of the Florentine workshop, where art and passion intertwine in a constant search for beauty capable of surprising and enchanting every day.
The Vannini goldsmith workshop was founded in Florence in 1961 by the savoir-faire of a family that has made the creation of precious jewellery its vocation, inspired by the great tradition of the Italian Renaissance.
The founder Umberto, together with his wife Graziella, passed on the secrets of the goldsmith's art to their son Gianmaria, who today runs the company with the same passion and dedication.
Each Vannini jewel represents the expression of a unique creative process, where attention to detail and artisanal expertise come together with the choice of materials of the highest quality.
In keeping with the best Florentine goldsmith tradition, the first blows of the hammer and measurements with calipers and scales could only resonate on the famous Old Bridge.
It was here that, at just twenty years old, Umberto Vannini refined his mastery while working in a prestigious goldsmith workshop, an experience that would soon lead him to open his first atelier.
Thus came the first drawings and the first unique creations, jewels that already revealed the art and vision that would accompany him throughout his life.
From 1969 to 1977, Umberto Vannini placed his talent at the service of the historic Florentine jewellery house Fallaci, which appointed him head of production.
During those years, in contact with an international and refined clientele, he refined his ability to imagine ever-new forms, to select precious materials and to combine innovation and craftsmanship.
A few years later, in 1982, he began collaborating with the artisan company Garzi in Arezzo, as head of model-making.
In a context rich in artistic inspiration, influenced by the masters of the Tuscan Renaissance, Vannini brought to life creations bearing both his signature and that of Marcello Garzi, reaching the showcases of Arezzo, Vicenza, Basel and New York: a path of growth that anticipated his future solo exhibitions.
This marked the birth of the Bottega Vannini Gioielli, which in just a few years grew to meet the needs of an increasingly large clientele.
In 1989, the goldsmith workshop was inaugurated, alongside a space dedicated to welcoming clients.
Here, the tradition of the great classics is rediscovered and reinterpreted alongside creations with a contemporary design, all strictly handmade and made to order, with the same passion and curiosity that inspired the ancient masters.
